Stick It To The Airlines With A Naked Vacation

New year, new fees. United Airlines today joined Delta and Continental in raising fees for checked bags, and one tourism group has an interesting take on the issue.

The American Association for Nude Recreation sent out a press release commenting on the fee hike – and suggesting that passengers stick it to the airlines in 2010 by taking a vacation to a nudist resort.

“All you’ll need for the week (sunscreen, cap, sunglasses, shoes and toiletries) can fit in a small carry on,” said Erich Schuttauf, executive director of the organization. “If more air travelers take a stand and a Nakation in 2010, it could send a message to the airlines using baggage fees as a way to get more money from their passengers.”

Kudos to Orlando marketing firm Ypartnership, which represents the American Association for Nude Recreation, for a creative take on the news of the day.
