Digital Nude Photography

This book is obviously aimed at the digital crowd, and therefore, most of the examples and techniques benefit digital camera users. However, there is a lot of basic information in here that pertains to silver-based images, too. I liked the author’s approach — aimed at someone that would like to do nudes but not really knowing where to start. It’s a good reference and how-to for aspiring photographers. The post-processing sections are also very good tutorials.
Overall, I recommend it — even to aspiring photographers that would like to do nudes with a film camera.

Sun Kissed Bodies: A Romantic Nudist Adventure [Paperback]

This book was very enlightening! The characters were very likeable and engaging. They made you want to be in their group of friends, smart and witty.
The story takes place mostly in a nudist resort, which in itself, was very interesting. I have never thought that it would be something that normal people would do, but after reading Sun Kissed Bodies, it makes me wonder if I could do it. They sound like a very friendly, normal group of people.
This was a very satisfying read from start to finish. I highly recommend it to anybody who wants a funny, smart, romantic get away.

The Reluctant Nudist by A W Palmer

Alan Palmer’s first novel starts in the middle of a hot summer night, somewhere in France, when textile thirty-somethings Ros and Nick book into holiday centre Le Paradis.

They wake to discover a dead body by their cabin and find that they have checked into a naturist resort by mistake. Nudity is obligatory in Le Paradis in the day, but clothing is normal in the evenings at the restaurant and nightclub.

Nick and Ros react differently to this enforced social nudity and their views evolve as their stay lengthens.

A thoroughly great holiday read.

Naked Pictures of Famous People (Book)

Some people may see the cover and think that this is some kind of cheesy autobiography, but in actuallity it is something very unique. What this book is is a collection of “fake essays” that cover a widely various amount of topics. For example, there is a chapter on how to adequately furnish one’s vagina as told by Martha Stewart. In another, there is a take on a new way to “liven up” to Judiastic faith by taking such strides as renaming God “‘Ol Uncle Pete” and “…[giving] all Chosen Ones… a free value pack worth hundreds of dollars in discounts at participating vendors (for example, 10 percenr off any dinner at Friendly’s, with purchase of a Fishamajig sandwhich!)”

Absurd, lurid, and always over-the-top, this book has some geniune funny moments that will have you laughing out loud. Higlights include -but are not necessarily limited to- the previously mentioned “The New Judaism” essay, the tragically hilarious “A Very Hanson Christmas”, the absolutely gut-busting “Pen Pals transcript” between Princess Diana and Mother Teresa, and the strangely ironic to today’s socitey “Lack of Power: The Ford Tapes” (In his essay portraying a blitheringly incompetent Gerald Ford, you could easily insert a certain current president- who wiil go nameless - and never be able to tell the difference.)
